Findaroo scans Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn, Meetup, Nextdoor, Instagram and X (Twitter), plus the wider open web. You can pick which platforms each search uses with the platform filters.

Do I need a Facebook or social media API key?

Accepted Answer

No. Findaroo uses web crawling rather than platform APIs, so you do not need a Facebook, Reddit or Twitter developer account to run a search.

Can I search near my location?

Yes. Use the location button to detect your town, region and country automatically, or type them in yourself to narrow results to a specific area.

How do saved search alerts work?

Save any search and choose how often it rescans — hourly, daily or weekly. When new matches appear you get an in-app alert, an email, or both, with duplicates filtered out automatically.

Findaroo retries automatically with an increasing delay between attempts. Every attempt, result count and error is recorded in the run history for each saved search.

Do I need to set up email to use alerts?

No. In-app alerts work out of the box. Email delivery is optional and you can send a test email from Settings to confirm it is working.

How do I cut down on irrelevant matches?

Use the advanced query builder to require exact phrases, exclude terms, set a language and cap the number of results per run. You can also limit each search to the platforms that matter to you.

Will the same result get saved twice?

No. Findaroo deduplicates matches across rescans, so a result you have already seen will not be re-saved or clutter your folders.
